Karnataka Protector Launched for effective Cop-Community Connect in the State
Bengaluru, March 31st, 2017- In a major initiative to connect police with the public, the Karnataka Home Minister, Honourable Dr. G Parmeshwara recently launched, first of its kind monthly magazine ‘The Karnataka Protector’. This magazine is fifth in the PROTECTOR series after Mumbai Protector, Kolkata Protector, West-Bengal Protector, Bihar Protector and the CRPF Protector magazine.
The magazine was launched recently in the Vidhana Soudha in the August presence of senior dignitaries including ACS Home - Shri Shubhash Chandra, IAS Home - Advisor Shri Kempiah, DG and IGP - Shri RK Dutta, IPS Bengaluru City Commissioner of Police - Shri Praveen Sood, IPS - Shri Kamal Pant, IPS - ADGP (Admin) Shri Raghavendra, IPS and many other senior police officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Honourable Dr. G Parmeshwara said, “It is the motto of Karnataka Police, to protect and serve the community. The Karnataka Protector is a true testimony to our efforts and reflects this commitment and the values police force stands for within the state of Karnataka.”
The magazine is published jointly by New Media and Anuradha Print News in association with the Karnataka Police. Subjects like safety and security, law and order, regulatory norms and compliances etc faced by the cop- community are addressed in the magazine for information, knowledge and awareness amongst the citizens of the state.

The magazine also carries a unique photo feature on the 150 years of police history, a transformational story about Karnataka police and insights on the freedom movement in the state. Making it an interesting read, the inaugural issue of the Karnataka Protector aims to enlighten the readers as much as it helps them connect with the cops.
